Life can be beautiful. Life can be brutal.
If you’re in the creative game to mine your talents, produce your magic and make your mark on the world, you’re going to face a whole realm of goodness, unexpectedness, applause, unfairness, glory and nastiness.
I’m just being honest. If world-class was easy everyone would be there.
Here’s what separates the amateurs from the superstars: those who are serious about their craft are less about complaining and more about rolling with the highs and the lows of the creative adventure.
Complaining is just powerlessness made verbal. [And excuses are simply fears believed to be real].
When the universe sends a little (or a lot) of disorder, they embrace the mess, keep doing their best and understand that suffering can be soil for supreme art.
I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with taking time away from your work to lick your wounds if you’re hurting. And rest your self.
Actually, time just being is an absolutely essential part of the process of handcrafting your masterwork.
Complaining [and excuse-making] is the ego’s tricky way of preventing the best part of you from revealing its bigness to the world.
Please don’t allow let that happen to you, as you advance through a fresh and unstained year called 2022.
