Expectations areToxic, Intentions are Powerful
Have you ever had an expectation of someone or something? The answer of course is yes. Probably hundreds if not thousands of times! And if you’re like most people, you probably felt frustrated when your expectation was not met.
But who was responsible for the frustration? YOU. Only ever you. You created the expectation.
Expectations can be toxic, it leads to a never-ending cycle of blame, complaints, low morale, and turnovers.
When you set expectations, we are exposed to too many external variables, and naturally the odds are most of the time against us.
So, what's the right mindset instead? The right intentions.
When you set the right intentions and you act accordingly, you never expect anything in return. When you receive it, it's a bonus!
When you align your core beliefs, thoughts and actions, you don't focus on the outcome, and you have pleasure by running your path.
"You glow differently when your confidence is fueled by belief in yourself instead of the validation from others" - Jay Shetty
